Our regional account balance is $959.00. Today’s collection is $35.00. We will pay $30.00 cash for van transportation and deposit the remaining $5.00 to our account.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the report. There being no discussion, it was approved by unanimous voice vote.
Robert reminded everyone of the importance of joining the National BVA because of the importance of numbers when it comes to lobbying Congress on our behalf.
He also asked everyone to bring toiletries to our November meeting to be presented to the VA Hospital for distribution among patients.
Robert and Hardy Alexander will be attending the Regional BVA meeting to be held October 26th and 27th in Roanoke, VA. They will report back to us next month.
The Christmas party was discussed and a suggestion was made we look into going to the Golden Corral on Mercury Blvd., Hampton. They have rooms we could use.
Robert announced our November meeting will be held in Bldg. 36.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 11 AM.
Respectfully submitted, Jean McFarlane, Secretary
