Good Afternoon Everyone:

Vision Media was here all day shooting the video documentary on BVA. They interviewed a number of us and then took a number of random shots to include some of the technology we use everyday to overcome the handicap of blindness.

We invited Jack Shapiro and his wife Eve to participate as one of our earliest WW2 members, Jeff Mittman and his wife Christie an OIF newly blinded servicemember as well as Tom Z. talking about Operation Peer Support. Claudia Perry, FSP Rep for the Mid-Atlantic was filmed interviewing Jeff  in her role as BVA Field Rep.  Steve Matthews was filmed interviewing Jack  along the same vein.  All in all it was very professionally done and took the better part of the day.

We should receive a first draft video in about three to five weeks for our review before they make the final video.

On  another note, once again this year we have already sold out our Convention Hotel.  The VA numbers increase every year.  I signed an additional contract today for an additional thirty rooms at the Whyndam Hotel right next door to the Hyatt.  It is our hope to get the VA people in that hotel in order that our blinded vets can be in the actual convention hotel.  As usual, our folks are waiting until the last minute to pre-register.  Hopefully, we will have a reasonably good turn out.
