OFFICIAL MEETING NOTICE
The
Mid-Atlantic Regional Group of the BVA will hold its spring meeting for 2009 on
Saturday, May 16, at the Omni Newport News Hotel,
You MUST make your own hotel reservations by April 15 by calling the hotel at 757-873-6664 and tell them you are with the Blinded Veterans to insure your getting the $109 rate per night.
Please complete the enclosed Registration Form and send it to me in the enclosed self-addressed, free-matter envelope. There is a registration fee of $10.00 per person. Make checks payable to Mid-Atlantic Regional Group. Please indicate on the Registration Form if you need the agenda in Braille. Registration forms must be postmarked by May 1st as I need to give the hotel a count for lunch.
This meeting is called for the following business to be transacted:
1. Election of officers
2.
Election of delegates to the 2009 BVA National Convention in
3. Instruction of Delegates
4. Other business as may be brought forth
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. The morning theme will focus on the question “Why Go To VA Blind Rehab?” Representatives of several technology companies will be presenting their “latest and greatest” for your consideration. Items presented are available through your VIST/BROS coordinators. There will be a buffet lunch served at noon.
Following lunch, we will have the business meeting. As noted above, the afternoon will be full and varied.
